Marybeth had a plan she didn t share She was a nice girl who had a good opportunity to advance herself, but she forgot one thing She wasn t totally honest with those who would help her even further Smart and lovely, she prepared herself to take a train to meet a young man who was eligible for marriage Rumors even pushed her further from wanting to make a firm decision When she met the bachelor, she could only remember what she heard She didn t close her heart totally, but found reasons to put off any thought of marriage Rand, waiting for some approval of him as a suitor didn t fully understand but began his own distrust It would take a robbery and a surprise before the couple made a final decision I liked this book very much and Louise Gouge is a fantastic writer Mary Young Robinson Boise, ID For the most part, I enjoyed this book and look forward to continuing the series with book 3, Cowgirl for Keeps Throughout the book, the heroine was rather emotional and cried a bit too much The book was a bit slow dull at times too For example, the hero and heroine courtin highlights included Sunday mornings, when they placed the hymn books in the church pews together I know it was the 1880s and entertainment was hard to come by, but P I miss the publication of the Love Inspired Harlequin Historical Line however, I have many many books to read and review for YEARS to come D When I first finished this book I really iked it, but after thinking on it some , it wasn t a favorite story as it didn t leave a lasting impression I didn t really liked the heroine, as I thought she was deceptive in a way to not even plan on marrying the guy.All in all, while I liked the story, it wasn t a favorite I receive a complimentary ebook copy of this book for my honest review As always, all thoughts and opinions expressed are my own.
